As a salaried fulltime employee of Ferguson Consulting, you will function as a contract IT resource in the role of

at the enterprise level for our telecommunications client in St. Louis, MO.

As a Ferguson Consulting employee, and a consultant to our end client, you can focus on your technical skills development and career versus becoming a client SME - which is always in your best interest.

This role is for the Provisioning and Activation team.

Who You Are:

  • Liaison between technical groups and the business
  • Requirements definition and elicitation
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise and testable
  • A willingness to provide constructive feedback on projects
  • Ability to independently research topics using available tools like SharePoint and other document repositories
  • Ability to recognize and determine whether the changes as a result of the project would impact other systems
  • Ability to recognize up/downstream dependencies
  • Organizational skills; coordination of meeting agendas, minutes and action items
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Must Haves:

  • Ability to elicit and document detailed IT Functional Requirements
  • Create Process flow diagrams
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to research and find information from suggested sources
  • Experience with MS Visio
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Domin area (Not all but some knowledge is preferred):

  • Provisioning – everything that has to be done to get a customer set up to be activated; from the time the order is generated until the services are activated at the customer’s location.
  • Client Enterprise

    – large business clients (just beginning to support this group)
  • Small/Medium Business (SMB) – also called “Commercial”
  • Residential (Resi

    )

    – individual residences or multiple dwelling units (MDU)
  • Lines of Service/Products Supported –
      • Video (Traditional cable, Stream/Internet TV), Data (also called Internet, HSD, HSI), Phone – Hosted, Ported

Nice to Have:

  • VP ArchiMetric (formerly known as Visual Paradigm)
  • Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
  • Basic understanding of Network structure and elements
