A011620: Senior Project Manager

As a salaried fulltime employee of Ferguson Consulting, you will function as a contract IT resource in the role of Senior Project Manager at the enterprise level for our one of our most prestigious customers who is also one the world’s largest breweries. They are located in the historic Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis.

What You'll Do:

  • Understand and execute project tasks in accordance with Client delivery methodology
  • Execute project delivery in line with departmental flight plan and Excellence Program
  • Report project status and manage communication between the project team and its stakeholders
  • Participate in and lead project status meetings.
  • Analyze and document client / sponsor expectations
  • Establish PMO routine, including budget and project tracking mechanism
  • Establish Project Team Orientation Material
  • Perform Business Analysis, document As-Is and define To-Be processes
  • Plan and conduct Fit/Gap analysis workshop (as required)
  • Identify potential gaps, and work with functional and technical resources to confirm scope, business impact, approach to resolve
  • Track and document the project plan, work performed, work results, work progress, issues, project scope changes, risk analysis, contingency plans and related matters
  • Identify and proactively raise issues and potential cost/quality/schedule impacts for client management’s attention
  • Determine, secure staffing required for Project, all roles with matching skill sets
  • Proactively identify staffing gaps, and apply correction or mitigation
  • Coordinate staffing across client and third party vendor(s) to ensure staffing continuity
  • Work with Tech Manager to resolve budget or resource constraints
  • Build and actively manage resource plans across client and 3rd party vendor(s)
  • Ensure Project standards and instructions on standards for coding and system program naming conventions are followed
  • Develop entry and exit criteria for all implementation stages
  • Direct day to day activities of 3rd party vendors on behalf of client

  • Serve as the interface between third party vendor(s) and all client departments participating in the Project

Who You Are:

  • Project management experience (5-7 years) with full responsibility for project delivery and management.
  • Experience with SDLC (Waterfall and/or AGILE)
  • Experience drafting a plan and managing to that plan
  • Experience manage scope, schedule and budget
  • Competency with PM tools and techniques (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience

Highly competitive base salary.
