Senior Java/Restful Web Services Engineer

at the enterprise level for our bakery-cafe chain reported revenue of $7.16 billion, has 2100 bakery-cafes in the United States and Canada. Our customer operates locally in Sunset Hills off Geyer Rd.

You will need the maturity, motivation and previous client experience to work productively in our client organization. Description:

In this fast-paced role, you will be a results-driven, self-organized, and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to build great products.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating web services
  • Creating application services based on micro services architecture
  • Working closely with Solution Architect in designing and developing applications, based on TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • Actively find ways (new technologies, tools, frameworks) to improve software solutions
  • Estimating the size of backlog items
  • Delivering and translating backlog items into engineering design and logical units of work (tasks)
  • Leading the design, development and implementation of complex software programs in accordance with project budgets and release schedules
  • Facilitating knowledge and experience sharing
  • Working with Product Management and Engineering to translate product use cases and requirements to industry-leading design
  • Interfacing with (internal and external) customers to promote company’s software services and gain understanding of their business requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience planning, designing, developing and delivering software
  • 5+ years of experience in Restful Web in a Spring MVC Environment
  • Experience in Java and Java EE platforms including Spring framework & components, Hibernate, Messaging, Web Services, SOAP, WS-Security, REST (Services Design & Technology Skills)
  • Strong Object Oriented Programming skills.
  • Solid skills in with Restful Web Services
  • Must understand and proficient with Mongo DB, Postgres, Oracle DB, SQL
  • Understanding patterns is a must
  • Understanding of architecture or experience in architecture would be a really helpful
  • Experience working on an Agile team environment required
  • Desire to stay abreast of new development tools and
