Description:

As an FTE of Ferguson Consulting, you will function as a Data Analyst at the enterprise level for our local reinsurance client in Chesterfield, MO.

Under limited supervision, you will serve as liaison between Business Operations teams and program teams to document and analyze business processes, technical processes, and functional/nonfunctional requirements. You will evaluate requests to determine requirements, feasibility, and recommend business solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, validates, documents, and maintains business and technical processes and associated functional/nonfunctional requirements and support of data and analytics within the ACF program.

  • Works with project teams to support requirements gathering and to ensure business requirements are understood by the developers. Support the development teams as further refinement of requirements are needed and support the business to ensure the proper solution is being developed.

  • Evaluates business process requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options.

  • Evaluates and tracks new or enhanced solutions to determine potential issues and communicates how problems may affect business and recommends solutions.

Performs task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service.

  • Responds to questions from business and technical teams

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years project-related experience, such as Business Analysis, System Requirements, Data Analysis, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, Intermediate SQL skills, Intermediate SharePoint skills
  • Experienced skills in process mapping and creating appropriate process documentation, including familiarity with Visio or similar process mapping tools
  • Ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
  • Ability to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
  • Advanced investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects.
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Ability to foster customer service as needed
  • Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Intermediate data analysis skill
  • General business knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • 5-7 years project-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Data Analysis, etc.
  • 2+ years Life Insurance industry knowledge
  • Facilitation skills
  • LOMA Certification
  • ARA Designation
  • Process Improvement Certification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma GB)

The compensation:

Highly competitive base salary.
