The role:

As a fulltime employee of Ferguson Consulting, you will be on assignment at our telecommunication client, responsible for and managing the delivery of software application solutions for their e-commerce projects. The successful candidate will leverage strong organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate the delivery and deployment of software releases for our client. Applicant must possess very strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability, and preferably experience, leading meetings with multiple VP’s in attendance.

The responsibilities:

Manage and Deliver releases that includes multiple teams and multiple applications and products simultaneously using Agile methods. Work with the Project Manager and Scrum Master to coordinate and drive relevant parties to establish the release queue.

    • Organize and lead: Go, No Go, Release, & Defect calls
    • Track dependencies between applications for each release
    • Attend Sprint Planning sessions
    • Oversees platform architecture requirements and recommends changes to ensure adequate performance requirements are satisfied.
    • Participates in platform projects to ensure reliability, scalability, functionality, capacity, and performance requirements are not adversely impacted.
    • Performs user acceptance testing (UAT) and deploys code into production
    • Works with the team to ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date
    • Serves as the point of escalation, for system issues prior to being assigned to Development.
    • Provides day to day oversight of the systems and overall functionality and performance which includes recommendation of changes to the application environment(s).
    • Responsible for taking immediate action to resolve critical issues and/or problems related to platform(s) and performance.
    • Monitors and analyzes day to day performance of assigned platforms to ensure required performance is maintained.
    • Supports system enhancements that increase reliability, scalability, capacity, performance.
    • Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.

The qualifications:

    • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
    • 3+ years of Delivery Management experience
    • Very well spoken and ability to communicate very well. You will be running multiple meetings with VP’s attending
    • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
    • Experience working in agile methodology
    • Experience with Jira
    • Able to drive situations when challenged with aggressive timelines
    • Must be a self-starter, collaborate across team boundaries, drive issues to conclusion and hold others accountable for results
    • Ability to analyze problems and review multiple alternate solutions including analysis of advantages and disadvantages and make decisions
    • Ability to relate business needs to system capabilities and to fully understand the role of the systems and impacts to the business
    • Advanced knowledge of platform architecture systems and requirements
    • Effective leadership and the ability to manage multiple priorities

The compensation:

Highly competitive base salary.
