The role:

Ferguson Consulting has an immediate opening for an IT recruiter at our corporate office in Chesterfield. The successful candidate does not need experience recruiting for IT professionals. However, they should be looking for “more” from their job. “More” in terms of the company they represent, “more” in terms of the responsibilities they will have and “more” in terms of career growth. Our working environment and office culture is based on a team-oriented approach in which every successful outcome is dependent on the contributions of multiple staff members. The ideal candidate is able to manage daily priorities, work efficiently and be proficient with the nuance and details of the job – while being interdependent and working collectively with the fulfillment team and the company goals. IT industry experience is not required to be successful in this role. This knowledge will be gained through experience and our thorough training program.

The responsibilities:

  • Source candidates by building a pipeline of applicants through personal contacts and employee referrals
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Sell the advantages of becoming a Ferguson employee.
  • Present compensation offers to qualified applicants.
  • Coordinate client interview requests with applicants. Maintain rapport with applicants while client completes decision-making process.
  • Communicate client decisions (offer/non-offer) to applicants and manage next steps accordingly

The qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency with MS Office is required.
  • Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Recruiting and/or sales experience is desired; but not required.
